Melissa Portillo is a designer and creative director who is passionate about creating visually beautiful experiences through every touchpoint.
Over the course of her career, Melissa has worked as a design and director building cross-functional design teams for agencies and in-house product and ecomm companies touching over 300 brands in her 9 years of digital design and e-commerce expertise.
As a true hybrid, she enjoys working at the intersection of product and brand, leading holistic branding and execution efforts to create beautiful, user-friendly work, pushing creative boundaries and helping brands tell their story at every touchpoint.
Born and raised in Southern California, her interest in the intersection of art and culture has taken her to various part of the world including India, Mexico City, and Costa Rica. When she is not working in tech, she photographs and contributes for art and tech companies, most recently Open Spaces and League of Originals.
Currently, Melissa served as Director of Creative and Design at Vebu leading a transformative cross-functional design strategy to bring food automation and technology to life.
